The Aim of the CAPI Association

Many people of foreign origin can be found every year in the Aquitaine area. CAPI is concerned with people :

	On a short stay basis – tourists, business people
	Medium stay basis – students , professional people on job assignments
	Those people from European Union countries settled in France indefinitely who may already be members of local country-of-origin-oriented organisations, such as the Bordeaux British Community in Aquitaine, which is essentially based on cultural activities and events.

Some of the above people may encounter problems with psychological implications following an accident, an exceptional situation , a catastrophe, which differ from their own cultural norms but not sufficiently to attract the attention of the local social services structures.

Moreover, long term “exiles” in France might experience the need for therapeutic help of some kind in their mother tongue.

Psychological help is mostly effective in one’s mother tongue.

CAPI’s twofold goal is to provide this service based both on psychological and linguistic competence.
